I had a great response to the recent Inspirational blog carnival. Blogs came in covering all areas of spirituality from paganism to modern goal setting. Each of us have within the potential to become whatever it is we most desire. We are powerful from within and not from without.
In the article Majoring in Minors (http://www.yoadam.com/2008/09/reflections-from-marshall-islands.html) , Adam Schaefers describes his insights into blessing the lives of those in other lesser developed countries. He learned how to love others and that it is possible to be happy even when we don’t have everything this world has to offer. He learned by serving others he could find his true self. Service is the highest form of love. Thank you Adam for being outward focused.
Nicholas Powiull talks about unlocking our infinite potential in his blog (http://consciousflex.blogspot.com/2008/01/how-to-unlock-your-infinite-potential.html) he compares it to compiling a movie frame by frame. As each frame is added, it creates a more clear picture of our lifes purpose. as we become conscious of the different pieces to the picture puzzle, our life takes on more meaning and we become clear in our direction.
To often in life we pre suppose the worst case scenario. Louis Burns in his blog (http://www.louisrburns.com/presuppose-greatness/) teaches us to presuppose greatness. Too often in life we are taught to pick out the negatives in situations and people. What about all of the things that went right. Louis has a great point in his submission and I would invite everyone to take his counsel.
Wakish talks about Michael Phelps and his amazing ability to reach his goals. We learn that with imagination, that nothing is impossible. What a great example of how having the right attitude will get us to where we would ultimately like to be. (http://wakish.info/scintillate-your-inspiration-and-goals-make-an-analogy-from-the-attitude-of-michael-phelps/)
Wakish again honors us with his submission on life mapping. He compares it to taking a trip . When we travel, we plan for multiple things from the bags we will pack to the landmarks we would like to see along the way. I appreciate the analogy of the trip and it makes for easy understanding of proper goal setting. (http://wakish.info/secret-to-your-success-do-you-have-a-vision-of-who-you-are-who-you-want-to-be/)
The Buddha of Hollywood gives some great insight on finding God. I look forward to hearing more of the journey. I feel it great that we all have the opportunity to worship how, who or what we may in this great country. I agree that we deserve to protect this right for all for when our right to worship is taken away, sprituality is hendered. (http://buddhaofhollywood.blogspot.com/2008/10/thirst-for-spirituality.html)
Kathleen Gage is on track with the idea that bad things do happen to everyone equally. Those who have tools that assist in the process will find the trials more manageable. thank you for your submission.( http://www.dailyawareness.com/2008/10/whats-in-your-s.html)
In the blog “The Moral Collapse of America” We find the discussion of Christmas. Did you know it was originally what some consider to be a pagan holiday? Find out some insight you might not have ever considered. (http://themoralcollapseofamerica.blogspot.com/2008/10/christmas-was-not-originally-christian.html)
As you can see the range is broad. Inspiration comes in many forms yet it has one goal… Improvement! Each of us wants to improve upon the life we were given. The tools in these different messages go a long way in making that improvement an actuality.
I wish you the best!

This is a small segment from one of my books:
Are you a dream builder or a dream enthusiast? Meaning are you the one that goes out and carves new paths for others to follow or are you there to support others in building their dreams? Neither position is more important than the other. For you cannot have one without the other and experience true success. Some people find great joy in assisting others in the actualization of their visions. Again I ask, are you a dream builder or a dream enthusiast?
This will greatly determine which direction you ought to follow in order to reach your ultimate goal. If you are a dream enthusiast, it may be best for you to find a dream builder who has a common vision and align yourself with them. Find out what it is within their organization that allows you to fulfill your passion. Is it accounting, sales, management, or maybe customer service? Whatever it is you will know it because you will feel it. It will be in alignment with your ultimate goal and you will feel all of those things that I mentioned. When a person steps out of alignment with their purpose, life starts getting complicated. The stress comes on and loads of dissatisfaction. Why on earth would you choose to work in something you don’t enjoy? If you feel under qualified, get qualified. If you feel they won’t accept you, apply anyway. If it is truly your passion, the universe will align and say “Yes! Yes! Yes!” and you will get exactly what you desire.
If you are a dream builder, find those dream enthusiasts who have a similar vision to yours. They are out there and in abundance. Would it serve you as a dream builder to surround yourself with people who tear down your dream and say you can never do it? No! That my friend is what we call stupidity. You have the opportunity during the interviewing process to find out if you are in alignment. Just because they have a pulse and want to work for you, doesn’t make them an automatic shoe in for the position. Ask them clear and specific questions. Questions are the easiest way to get clarity. Unfortunately, most people would rather walk around in mystery and frustration than ask a person a direct question. If you as a dream builder want to succeed the way the universe intends, then you must align yourself with those whose vision is conducive to yours.

Have you ever planted a seed? If you have never done it before, it would be worth it for you to do so. The first thing you need is a seed. I know, that is very insightful. I am going to compare this to an idea. You may have a thought of something you would like to do or create. Is it a good idea or is it an idea that won’t grow? It would be good to find out. The next thing you need is good soil. Soil that has plenty of nutrients and preferably ground that is located in an area conducive to growth. At times we may have a great idea and attempt to build it in an area that doesn’t make sense. We might want to build a banana farm in the middle of the Sahara Desert. We know its a great idea and if we could make it succeed, we would be well off because there’s no competition. Where we implement our idea is just as important as the idea itself. What comes next is the long process of watering, weeding, nurturing and plenty of sunshine. There is a lot of work to be done to cause that little seed to sprout and push up through the ground. If any of the above ingredients is not found in plenty, it affects the plants growth. Alot of sun with little water will create strong routes and a smaller plant. Plenty of water with little sun will create a shallow rooted plant with bigger broader leafs. It is only when there is an abundance of all things that the plant will grow proportionately. There are some, who because of the commitment needed to grow an idea will back off and let it whither away or they will fail to nourish it as much as they could and the “plant” suffers. Often times we find ourselves building our idea and providing a lopsided approach to its growth. We might have a business that we market amazingly, however the support system within the company is weak. Maybe we build a company with a strong corporate structure, the best in the country, but we are not getting enough exposure. That is when our business suffers in degrees. It is only when we have balance in all areas that the company can grow into that perfect dream. Every part of a plant is important. Without the leafs it cannot take in sunlight. Without the roots it could not take in water and nutrients. The flowers attract the right customers to continue growth, the seeds allow for perpetuation. Every piece is vital to growth and survival. So it is with our ideas. A partial creation is no good to anyone. Imagine a plane with no wings, a pen with no ink, a book with no words. None of these would be as great as they are if they were incomplete. I challenge you to look at what it is you would like to create. Do you have everything required to make it a reality? Can you find it? It takes commitment to the goal and consistent proper action. It is never enough to say you want something without putting forward the required effort to make it a reality. Take proper action now and watch your dreams become actualities.

During a course that was being taught a few weeks ago, the instructor mentioned that life has a lot of ups and downs and moves in cycles. She asked the question, “How do we stay just on positive side of the cycle?” I said, “We don’t, life gets to have its ups and downs for if a person flat lines, they die.” If I don’t have positive and negative experiences in my life I would cease to exist mentally and spiritually. It is in both moments that I make discoveries about myself that allow me to move to the next level and take the next step.

I desire for every person to discover who they truly are. I feel in life, too many of us go about playing under the guise of masks that we pick up along the way. To avoid looking behind the mask, many will throw up defenses and walls to cause others to hesitate looking into who they really are. We don’t want them to see who we are in most cases. We are so afraid of what we have perceived to be behind the mask that we go about life as though we are ok. We say to ourselves, “It’s just the way I am” or ” It runs in my family.” You might say to yourself, “Not me, I don’t do that. I am just fine.” But deep down inside, you know you can give more and don’t know what is holding you back. You feel as though you are ready to break through to the next level. However, you continue to self sabotage. These are the feelings that are so deeply routed and most of us are too afraid to look at them. It is the resolution of those very things that will allow you to step into your greatness now and be who you truly are. You deserve it and so does the world.
I am inspired by this man, who had an amazing talent that all those who associated with him could see. He knew he had this talent and for a long time was afraid to share it with the world. I am so glad he did. What amazing ability are you holding back from the world that could be as powerful?
‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond imagination. It is our light more than our darkness which scares us. We ask ourselves – who are we to be brilliant, beautiful, talented, and fabulous. But honestly, who are you to not be so?
You are a child of God, small games do not work in this world. For those around us to feel peace, it is not example to make ourselves small. We were born to express the glory of god that lives in us. It is not in some of us, it is in all of us. While we allow our light to shine, we unconsciously give permission for others to do the same. When we liberate ourselves from our own fears, simply our presence may liberate others.’

Tonight I had the opportunity to listen to two of my associates as they conversed. One of them shared an experience he had. The other immediately responded with a similar experience. The first upon hearing the experience of the second immediately rebutted as though he had just received an attack on his response. What I recognized is that both were sharing experiences that were truly unique. Although one experience differed from the other it was nothing more than an experience based on the perspective of the person telling it. Too often in life people feel as though they are being attacked in a conversation when in reality one of the parties is merely telling about their version of life based on how they see it. It never means that we have to subscribe to their way of thinking or even that they are forcing us to see the world their way. Because come on, can anyone really force us to do anything? If we allow the words other people use to affect us, it is by our own choice. If we subscribe to their way of thinking it is not because they made us, it is because we chose into it. It’s time to not take things personal. People are truly unique and that is what makes this world so great. I feel we get to honor them in their choice to be different. Someone told me that “You can’t go to war with someone you respect.” Think about that! What if you would allow people to be who they want to be? How would that shift the world?

In the study of
vortices, there is a point in the vortex that is considered to be the lowest energy field or the grounding. It is the known as the zero point. In a lot of cases it is considered to be a vacuum, a point in space that is completely empty and void of mass. Moment to moment I am presented with opportunities to choose between the positive and the negative. My position when making that choice is always from the zero point. It could be viewed as the line that separates the fork in the road in any decision. When presented with opportunities, I have the choice to act or not to act, to do or not to do, to be or not to be. There is a point right between the decisions known as neutral ground. I call it the zero point.
It is evident that the zero point is a monumental opportunity in my life to do things differently. It exists in everything I do. Every decision I make. Below I have drafted examples of how it applies in the many areas of life. ( See figure 1a). It is only possible to operate from the zero point when a person becomes aware and is 100% in the moment. The goal in life is to live slightly above zero or better. I call this choosing up! As I choose up, I am literally choosing the language or the choice of increase. What I know about life is that it is impossible to remain in the neutral ground. For if I stay in the zero, I become a zero. I get to choose moment to moment to moment. How exciting is that? If I didn’t have the negative, how could I choose the positive? If I didn’t have the positive, I could never choose the negative. Life could not exist if we had one and not the other. I could not exist!
For example purposes, imagine I made a choice that really isn’t working for me in my life. Imagine a big buffet table full of different options. Let’s say that I put on my plate a choice that doesn’t fit my moral character. Man, that choice would sure taste better with a heaping spoonfull of guilt. Well, now that I have the guilt, I get to add the pain. I can’t have guilt without pain, so I throw that on my plate. Well, pain is no good without suffering. So I grab the beatup stick and serve myself a healthy dish of suffering and on and on and on. Well in hindsight, everything I threw on my plate was from the negative side of the table. How would it look if I made the same initial choice and this time, instead of adding the heaping serving of guilt, I added love for myself. From that space, what if I knew it wasn’t working to make that choice and served myself some learning.? Do you get the picture? If I operate from the zero point in every moment, even if I chose guilt, is it not possible to serve myself from the positive side of the table?
How do I prepare myself to be ready to choose up, even when I am not 100% in the moment? That’s great! I feel it comes from planning ahead while I am in the moment, whenever that moment is. By planning ahead and making choices prior to the event, I allow myself to choose up. I also get to recognize the chains, and break the chains. If I subscribe to being sad, then sadness comes with depression. Depression is accompanied by a sick feeling. That sick feeling causes me to be tired and so on. At any moment, I can break that chain while in the Zero Point and choose differently. When presented with the opportunity to be joyful or sad, I can choose joyful. Depressed and enthusiastic? I can choose enthusiasm.
By choosing up in every moment I am making it easier to choose up the next time. By choosing down, I make it easier to choose down the next time. I am here to create abundance in every aspect of my life. I choose up! I challenge you to do the same. To get started, be aware moment to moment of the words you are using, the feelings you are choosing, the account balances and so on. Be sure to stay above zero point and watch the miracles come.
Choose Up!

It is impossible for each of us to see the same thing the exact same way. Since no two observers can occupy the exact same space at exactly the same time, one observer’s view of an object will vary slightly depending on their position. The view may be skewed left, right, up, down, in front or behind. Therefore an object as it appears to one person will not be the same perceived object to another. It is very common for us to believe that people are seeing what we are seeing, hearing what we are hearing or learning like we are learning when in reality, they may be seeing the same object, but not in the same way. For example I can see you and you can see me, but I can never see me the way you see me. Even if I looked in a mirror, I would see myself through my own eyes. This being the case, it is possible for every person to have a truly unique experience. Try to imagine what the other people are seeing and put yourself in their position.

The universe is orderly. In fact I would say it thrives on order.
There is a hidden chain that connects all events in our lives. There comes a point in each chain we assemble, that we are unable to find the next link. We may be able to see the sequence of the chain two or three links in advance beyond the missing link and at times are unable to find the link needed to complete the chain. We have an idea of what the link should be, yet have no idea as to where it can be found. Here is where I believe that the universe steps in to assist us in maintaining order in our lives.
Imagine you have a goal to become a business owner. You have in your hand a beginning link (The starting point) and the end link (the goal). There are a group of links (events) that need to occur before you can connect your beginning link to the end. There has never been a man that went from start to finish with no effort in between. As well, a chain with only two links isn’t always effective.
Because you have put together a starting and ending point, the universe in its desire to maintain order begins the process of providing the originator with the missing links. The links can come in many forms; they can be an idea, a person, a place and etc.
Suppose this business owner needs financing for his business venture yet he knows of no one personally who can provide that financing. He may perform a search online or in the phonebook to find the solution to his problem. My feeling is that because of his perspective on the situation, it may be difficult to find the link he is seeking. There is a theory by Rupert Sheldrake that implies we are all connected on an unseen level. Some people call this a telepathic connection. He found through studies in animals that dogs were able to anticipate the return of their owners before they headed home. The dogs were able to sense that their owners had implied in their thoughts to go home and would immediately go to the window and wait for them. Sheldrake felt that if animals were capable of this connection, that humans would be as well. His studies went on to find that we do have a sense beyond the normal senses of an organism i.e. sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. The majority of us have experienced this sense in those times where we have felt someone staring at us, or have thought of someone and received a call from them a within a short amount of time, even though they were clear across the world.
My chain theory is as follows:
In the example of the business man above, he knew his starting point and he knew his destination yet he was not sure which specific links would connect the two points. Let’s say for this example, that the step beyond the financing is to buy materials and supplies as well as a place of business and he has already established the relationships needed to complete those tasks, in a sense he has already found the link that would be next in line to the financing. Beyond the financing and supplies, he has an idea of who his clients will be and what he will charge them to use his services. Let’s just say for the examples sake that he knows every step that will take him to completion except where the financing will come from. He knows that s(start)+ X(unknown financing)+M(Materials)+A(All else)=B(Business). He also is confident that “X” exists. If Sheldrake’s theory holds true, the man has an unseen connection with “X” although he may not know who or what “X” is. On an unconscious level he should be able to connect with”X” and communicate his needs.
The business man would need to focus his thoughts on “X” and tell the universe or God, I have everything I need to reach my destination except “X,” I know “X” exists and I need your help in arranging the meeting. The business man would need to be open to the thoughts and inspirations that will come to his mind. He may be asked to place an ad, or go to a meeting with a friend, or call someone and ask them a specific question that will trigger the meeting. The business man has to be open to the idea that one of these events is going to lead him to “X”. Simultaneously, “X” will receive insight unawares, that will lead him to the business man. The more power and thought given to finding “X” by the business man, the more likely they are to meet. Less thought, action and meditation given to finding “X” lessens the chances of meeting.
If there is a step that is holding you up from reaching your goal, focus on that step, put great strength into your thoughts focus your thoughts on finding that step and you will find the solution, or it will find you.
